Among other artist I was asked to join the exhibition „The sweetness of doing nothing“ at NRW Forum in Düsseldorf. The exhibition was organized by Annette Jacobs and Studio Mudio. The exhibition title is a reference to the Italian expression Il dolce far niente and emphasises the joys and lightness of being idle. The exhibition highlights the diversity of contemporary illustration formats in Düsseldorf and North Rhine-Westphalia. In keeping with the theme, the works are printed onto folding deckchairs. For me the sweetness of doing nothing only works if you keep yourself in balance- thats why I worked on a pattern called „Balance it out“ refuring to the state between letting go and not feeling guilty.
